Abstract: In this talk, we address a basic problem which is "under what
conditions the given algebraic number is an algebraic integer?" Starting
from Polya, we travel with Smit, Corvaja and Zannier, Phillippon and
Rath, we give some sufficient conditions for the solution to the above
problem. This is the joint work with A. Bharatwaj, Aprameyo pal and
Veekesh Kumar.
